The Love Cure | Divisiveness spreads, a viral blight on humanity. Your love is the cure. | HartHaiku.com

The Love Cure | is You

Do you realize? You have more personal power than you likely know to change the world. The news is rife with division, hate, and fear. Some people just wait and hope for an external power or institution to cure the problems “out there”, so they can finally find some peace and happiness within themselves. They have a long wait.

If we don’t care enough about the world to personally get in the game, it will slip through our fingers like quicksand. It begins with one random act of kindness, a single word of compassion, a step upward on the stairway of understanding.

It’s one bit of love at a time. It ripples outward, and it builds. It comes from you, and me, and anyone else who chooses to participate, instead of just complaining about how bad things are. It’s what the ancient Greeks called “agape” – a selfless love for humanity – and the world sorely needs more of it.

Adopt a global consciousness. Choose to be a living example of love, compassion, and understanding. Work to bridge the divides you encounter. As Ghandi said, “Be the change you want to see in the world.”

Because in the final analysis, that which you give to the world, you ultimately give to yourself.

Dare to Err | The Mistake Bus

Life as a bus. Think of each experience as a bus ride. We get on the bus, we reach our destination, we get off of the bus. Often we ride the same bus, over and over again (aka THE BIG RUT). Occasionally we risk taking a new bus, on a different route. With each bus ride, we accumulate some learning, to one degree or another. And sooner or later, inevitably we find ourselves on THE MISTAKE BUS. We hate the ride, but even worse, we hate where it takes us.

The Mistake Bus

The thing is, the Mistake Bus wasn’t marked. We didn’t know when we got on it!

Why do we hate it so much? Because the Mistake Bus takes us to TERMINUS SELF-EXAMINATION, a place where our ego feels very uncomfortable. We squirm. We find out we are human and fallible. (Oh no!) And even worse, we have likely hurt ourselves or another person in the process.

Stop looking out the back window

But wait! This is life. Our souls came here to learn. That’s the whole purpose of THE BIG RIDE. (Did you not read the fine print in your contract?) Make a mistake, learn. Make a mistake, learn.

Once we’ve ridden on the Mistake Bus, we resist getting on it again. Our egos will do almost anything to avoid it. Why? Regret. We have a tendency to keep looking out the back of the bus, over and over again, reliving our mistakes in our minds. It’s painful. We just want a nice, safe ride, thank you very much, with as little discomfort as possible.

The Mistake Bus is actually the best ride

Eventually we figure out (or we don’t) that the Mistake Bus is actually THE BEST RIDE. There are many of them actually, a veritable fleet. So many Mistake Buses, so little time. There is a full gastronomic menu of life learning in the Mistake Bus fleet. Think about it… Do you order the same old BLT, over and over again, just to avoid heartburn?

The challenge in life is to have the courage to risk getting on the Mistake Bus again. And again. And again. Yes, it can have its downside. But, it’s a more exhilarating ride. And the really great upside is…? Eventually you find yourself more and more often arriving at TERMINUS WISDOM, exactly where your soul was trying to take you all along.

So next time around, have the courage to take the new bus, the wild ride. Go for the learning and wisdom. Risk taking the Mistake Bus.

Metamorphosis | Your soul lessons are food for the caterpillar, Transform, butterfly. | HartHaiky.com

Metamorphosis | You transform

The beautiful butterfly captivates us with its brilliant color and lightness of being. Its joyful flitting among flowers never fails to raise our spirits, and somehow it gives us hope. Hope for what? Well, perhaps simply a world where more color, joy, and lightness of being may be possible. Butterflies cut right through to the core of our being. They speak to our souls about joy.

We were born with lightness and joy

As adults, the world and its problem have this way of weighing us down. Eventually we forget that we were born with this innate sense of joy. Watch young children. They are still in a cycle of newness, discovering, joyfulness, positivity.

Butterfly, symbol of transformation

There is a long history of the butterfly as symbol of transformation, resurrection, adaptability to change, lightness and joy. You’ll find more about this in the article: Dance like the Butterfly

Allow the butterfly in you to burst forth

Embrace your soul lessons, because they are food for your transformation process. Learn from them, and do not get weighed down by regrets and problems. Allow yourself to grow, bloom, transform completely, to the beautiful butterfly you were always meant to be.

Just a Feeling | My head's full of doubt, but my heart wins whispering, "Magic's over there". | HartHaiku.com

Just a Feeling | Trust yourself

Do you use both your head and your gut instincts to make decisions in life? Logic and reason are valuable, but limited. They do not hold all the answers. When we work with our intuition too, we are tapped into the universal consciousness, the infinite.

Here is a very good Psychology Today article, which explains why we should rely on both: What Is Intuition, And How Do We Use It?

Life’s too short. Follow the magic!

Inspirational Quotes:

“I believe in intuitions and inspirations… I sometimes feel that I am right. I do not know that I am.” ~ Albert Einstein

“The only real valuable thing is intuition.” ~ Albert Einstein

“Intuition is seeing with the soul.” ~ Dean Koontz

“Intuition is really a sudden immersion of the soul into the universal current of life.”
~ Paulo Coelho

“When you reach the end of what you should know, you will be at the beginning of what you should sense.” ~ Kahlil Gibrán
